Company Profile Search Techniques Ltd. is a UK company established in 1990. We design, manufacture and market our own range of Random Search Selectors to satisfy the security needs of manufacturing, retail and logistics companies, we also market a range of ancillary equipment such as Metal Detectors to complement our in house products.
Our Products Our product range provides corporate solutions to the ever present risk of theft and alcohol or drug abuse by employees. The versatility of our products means they can also be utilised in any situation that could be facilitated by impartial random selection of individuals from a larger group, such as in schools, colleges etc. when some form of vetting procedure is necessary, such as checking for possession of weapons or drugs.
Our Search Selectors have always been developed with an emphasis on the DETERRENT effect - it is far better and more cost effective to prevent violation of your policies than to catch violators and deal with them accordingly. The routine use of Random Search Selectors to monitor employees is a very efficient and cost effective method. It ensures that the deterrent is very high profile and actively demonstrates that the system is functional and being monitored - experience has shown that at a stop ratio of a few per cent, typically 5% or less, operational overheads are kept to a minimum whilst the deterrent effect is near 100% successful.
